Objective:
The Information Systems (IS) Requirements Planner/Analyst will direct and manage all functions regarding manage technical resources and work closely with other senior leaders on IS business decisions. Qualified candidates should be local to Pensacola, FL, or surrounding areas to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Validate Schoolhouse requirements for Electronic Classrooms (ECRs) and other multi-media to include MRTS-3D, and VR Lanes;
- Submit ECR requirements requests into SERENA Solutions Business Manager;
- Coordinate and track delivery status of ECR components for CNATT classroom conversion in accordance with Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) timelines;
- Load RRL rate-specific simulation onto NETC TRANET file share; prioritize electrical upgrades, and finalize ECR drawing layouts for NAVFAC;
- Maintain an IS fielding project plan that communicates tasks, milestone dates, status, and resource allocation;
- Complete classroom implementation projects by coordinating resources and timetables with clients and stakeholders;
- Verify successful implementation by conducting operational checks of technologies implemented;
- Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements;
- Forecast requirements for the preparation of an annual budget;
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational virtual workshops and meetings; reviewing NETC publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices;
- Record detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders to establish the project deliverables;
- Suggest to the CNATT N6 appropriate hardware, applications, and software life-cycle methodology;
- Provide SITREPs on progress;
- Additional duties as assigned.
Employment Status:
Full-time. Salaried. Exempt (40 hours per week).
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, or related field;
- Four (4) years progressive automated data processing (ADP) and/or network experience or related experience within the last five years;
- Two years of progressive specialized technical management experience on LAN systems is required;
- Active/Current, minimum Secret Security Clearance;
- Network experience shall have included supporting the IEEE (Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers) 802.3, 802.4 or 802.5 standards;
- Ability to optimize networks for performance, configuring and connecting workstations to a system;
- Ability to include diagnostics and troubleshooting of related network components;
- Preferred experience in the government defense industry and/or previous service in the military;
- Strong presence leading and working with top level management;
- Experience in project management methodologies;
- Proven ability to develop successful requirements management plans;
- Capable of ensuring all milestones are met in development life-cycle process;
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Ability to evaluate problems and recommend solutions;
- Flexibility to assist wherever needed to achieve goals.
Work Environment and Travel:
- This position is located at the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training (CNATT) aboard Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola, FL. Qualified candidates should be local to Pensacola, FL, or surrounding areas to be considered for this position.
- Ability to lift items and/or equipment up to 50 lbs. on limited occasions.
- Travel up to 10% anticipated.
