A Day in the Life:
- Manage the daily operations of the practice including opening and closing the office while maintaining a professional and positive workplace.
- Create transparency by providing a welcoming environment where team members feel comfortable to proactively provide input on decisions that will affect their responsibilities.
- Be the administrative manager and leader by identifying opportunities and providing upgrades to operational structure, efficiency, and policies and procedures as needed to achieve industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to oversee all operational management.
- Work closely with payroll, our medical billing vendor, and the owner to assist with decision making of financial budgets as well as short- and long-term goals.
- Coordinate development and implementation of long and short-term strategic plans for marketing and branding.
- Engage in human resource functions such as training, onboarding, hiring, compliance.
- Manage staff and performance evaluations in cooperation with department leads, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate all vendor meetings and manage relationships with them and the community.
You will need:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in a small medical office.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, business administration or related field preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, customer, colleague, and vendor population. This includes effective listening, sales and service, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and database software.
- Ability to handle a busy office with interruptions, calls, and walk-ins. Must have the ability to organize time and prioritize numerous duties within strict deadlines.
- A genuine sense of humor and a positive approach to the daily stresses of a position in healthcare.
