General Cleaner/Housekeeper

As a General Housekeeper at our luxury hair salon located in the Las Vegas Valley, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our esteemed clientele. You will be responsible for performing a range of housekeeping tasks to ensure the salon remains in pristine condition at all times. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to exceptional cleanliness standards will contribute to creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for our clients.

Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform routine cleaning and sanitization tasks throughout the salon, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces. Ensure that all areas, including client waiting areas, styling stations, washrooms, and break rooms, are kept clean and orderly.

Trash Removal: Regularly empty trash cans and recycling bins, ensuring proper disposal and adherence to waste management protocols.

Restocking: Monitor and replenish supplies such as hand soap, paper towels, tissues, and other amenities in restrooms, waiting areas, and styling stations. Alert management when supplies are running low.

Inventory Management: Keep track of cleaning supplies and equipment inventory. Inform the management team when reordering is necessary.

Specialized Cleaning: Perform deep cleaning tasks on a regular basis, including shampooing carpets, cleaning windows, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces. Maintain cleanliness standards in storage areas, staff rooms, and other non-public spaces.

Client Assistance: Assist with maintaining an inviting and comfortable atmosphere for clients by promptly attending to spills, accidents, or other housekeeping-related incidents.

Team Collaboration: Coordinate with the salon staff to ensure a seamless and efficient workflow. Communicate any housekeeping-related issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety and health regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
• Understanding of safety guidelines related to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
