Scope of Work:
The ADA compliance web developer will provide ongoing application development and support of the web applications which are written in Java, and other Object-Oriented technologies. The engagement involves working under the guidance of the Application Engineering and Architecture unit manager and solution architects to understand the business problems, and system requirements and then provide solutions that are technically feasible, aligned with existing enterprise architecture and meet the needs of the business users within the project timelines.
The developer will understand the business functions and system needs of supported units to develop working specifications for web application solutions; has strong understanding of responsive and mobile design, and ADA compliance. Additional duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: ability to organize complex and/or detailed technical procedures; defining technical requirements; and participation in implementation and release communication activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience working with Angular JS, React JS, Bootstrap framework.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience with advanced use of website development technologies such as HTML, CSS [SASS/LESS], Javascript and JQuery, JSON, SQL and database connectivity.
- Must have a minimum five (5) years developing fast loading, responsive, cross-browser compatible web pages and sites.
- Must have a minimum three (3) years of experience working on website updates adheres to the latest compliance and accessibility standards.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience using visual design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InVision, Figma, InDesign and other visual design tools.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with Version Control using Git and web-based repositories (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, etc.) and ticketing and collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years (within the last 5 years) of experience working on large scale applications for the State of California.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years (within the last 10 years) of experience supporting web applications running on Oracle 11g and writing and troubleshooting SQL code.
