Position Overview : Processes Requisitions and Purchase orders for end users through MMIS system for designated departments within 48 hours of receipt or as otherwise specified by end-user, pricing and confirms anticipated delivery date.
Assures purchase orders are appropriately authorized in conjunction with financial signature policies of Capital Health.Updates item pricing as necessary in MMIS database to ensure proper pricing.
Reconciles all pricing discrepancies on Purchase Orders by reviewing all order confirmations.Provides purchasing support and assistance to end-users in sourcing and researching products and services to assure compliance with GPO and
organization-specific
contracts at all times. Reports and acts on lapsed or absent price protection.Reviews weekly reports such as Buyer messages, PO Status Report, Open PO Report, INR, RNI, Backorder, etc.
and resolves any discrepancies.Utilizes tools to source products, view contracts, benchmark pricing and find alternate sources (i.
Functions as department "Super User" of Lawson.Validates all new Item Add Worksheets and loads into Lawson.Participates in all Value Analysis Team meetings.
Oversees and works with Vendor Change / Conversion process.Creates Lawson PO’s for complex type orders with direction from Director of Procurement Services.
Coordinates with vendors and Finance Capital equipment disposition and sales.Supports department in absence of Director of Procurement Services.
Performs duties of Buyer as needed.Performs all other duties as assigned.Requirements : High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Two years working knowledge of Materials Management Information System.
Knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel. Lawson experience preferred.Offers are contingent upon successful completion of our onboarding process and pre-employment physical.
