As a Commercial Card Business Development Associate, you will play a key role in providing support to our Commercial Card Sales Managers across the country. The BDA is responsible for three primary functions: (1) Developing cohesive territory plans by gathering and verifying contact information on provided lead lists (2) Executing outbound contact campaigns through a variety of channels to secure prospect meetings, and (3) Managing the inbound web leads process.
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, have strong relationship building skills, and be able to drive a conversation with a prospect and know where to pivot, if needed, to ultimately get the meeting. This person must have strong influence and client management skills, a consultative sales skill set, and must be able to work autonomously. This individual must also have strong written and verbal communication skills for over-the-phone and email communication. The goal of this individual is to set high quality appointments for Capital One Commercial Card Sales Managers.

- Utilize various forms of communication including, but not limited to email, phone, direct mail, and LinkedIn channels to prospect/set presentations with potential clients.
- Strategically use all available resources to gain information on potential leads and clients for Commercial Card Sales Managers.
- Manage the inbound web leads process by vetting potential prospects and set up meetings for Sales Managers.
- Set 3-4 new meetings per week for Sales Managers (at a minimum).
- Develop, manage and maintain relationships with any local managers from other Capital One businesses.
- Work independently and seek out feedback and data to reflect on and improve own performance.
- Develop subject matter expertise on the commercial card product in order to effectively pitch the product to prospects.
- Be compliant with all Capital One client activities, maintain and update the CRM system.

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 2 years of sales experience
- Proficiency using Salesforce.com
