Director, Delivery Lead - Commercial Tech

Technology Leader needed to accelerate the technical solutions and roadmap for Commercial Real Estate - Agency Finance. The Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Technology organization is growing to support key initiatives in the business. The focus on Agency Finance has increased and is a key value driver for the Commercial Bank.

As the Director, Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for the delivery, engineering excellence, vendor relationships, and running the engine for the core Agency Finance systems. You will be accountable for leading these functions for key Agency Finance technology initiatives across your teams.

In this role, you will:

• 
  Technology Leader for the Agency Finance Core Systems (Strategy, RealInsight, and Agency Finance Salesforce)

• Own Delivery, Engineering Excellence, vendor relationships, and Run The Engine functions for these applications

• Interface with CRE and Enabling Technology Leadership to ensure Agency needs are represented and delivered via Enabling Tech roadmaps

• Create an interaction model to optimize partnerships with other Technology organizations that drives delivery of value stream needs

• Ensure all solutions are robust, secure, scalable, and meet business needs in alignment with Capital One Software Engineering best practices

• Act as a Change Agent to advance maturity on key application capabilities and vendor relationships

• People Leader for multiple Agile teams

• Act as a trusted partner with key stakeholders in Product, Design, Business Groups, Architecture, and other related Technology groups within Commercial and/or across the Capital One Enterprise

• Leverage your partnerships with the groups listed above to ensure a robust strategic backlog and to resolve complex impediments faced by the delivery teams

• Manage risk associated with deliverables ensuring mitigation plans for high risk items

• Adept at deciphering complex business requirements and translating them into technical strategy

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 7 years of experience in Software Engineering

• At least 5 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree

• At least 10 years of experience in Software Engineering

• 7 plus years of people management experience

• 5 plus years experience with large applications and multiple teams working in a matrixed agile environment.

• 5 plus years working with a modern Tech stack (Service based, APIs, AWS, Docker...)

• Financial Services and/or Commercial Real Estate Technology experience
