Overview
This is a Night Position:
We are looking for Customer Service Representatives/Dispatchers to join our team! We are a fast paced, high energy business. You will be responsible for receiving all initial incoming service requests and other calls; determining correct routing of calls; determining appropriate towing service needs and dispatching to tow operators. You will also be responsible in assisting the Supervisors and Dispatch Manager when necessary. Training can take 4 to 12 WEEKS (normally 4 to 6). Training will be during the day and night.
Responsibilities
- Answer all incoming calls as quickly as possible and at least by the 2nd ring
- Convey a cheerful and competent attitude to all callers
- Accurately route all incoming calls to appropriate destination
- Accurately record all pertinent information according to systems in use
- Accurately enter customer calls into dispatch management system
- Provide routing information to drivers
- Maintain driver status information via all available means of communication system
- Communicate with drivers in route to resolve unforeseen issues
- Dispatch towing and emergency road service calls to drivers in the most efficient and timely manner possible
- Communicate with customers concerning their vehicle status
- Apply knowledge of towing functions to maximize efficiency between dispatch and driver
- Serve as the primary link between customer and Company, conveying a professional customer service ethic and philosophy at all times
- Arrive on time so that you can ensure you have all necessary information for your shift
- The dispatcher must also work cooperatively with all other Dispatchers, Managers and Supervisors
- Perform any other duties as requested by the Dispatch Manager
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be bilingual English/Spanish
- Clear, pleasant, intelligible verbal skills
- Legible writing and reading skills
- Strong multi-tasking ability for coordinating location of drivers with pending service calls
- Knowledge of function and capacity of all equipment dispatched (can be taught)
- Knowledge of appropriate assignment of equipment to vehicle being towed (can be taught)
- Computer experience; keyboarding at 45 wpm
- Basic math and algebra skills
- Ability to operate all necessary office machines
- Map reading ability
- Clean background check
- Negative drug test
- Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, push, pull, etc.
- Ability to work in an indoor office setting

Pay
- $10 an hour (depending on experience)
