Job Title: Security
Position Reports to: Resort Manager and Assistant Resort Manager
Job Summary:
Security patrols the Resort during shift by walking through buildings, pools, bathrooms, and parking areas. They also drive through the RV Park and Wilderness areas. They report any unusual occurrences in writing. They check all vacant rooms, all building doors, and gates are locked and secured. Security makes sure pools are covered, filled with water, and locked. Assists guests after hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Report to work according to the schedule and are ready to work on arrival. Must be in uniform with security phone and radio.
- Perform all duties listed on the Security Guard checklist such as:
- Walk through resort to check that doors and gates are locked. Check the game room, mini golf, laundry, pools, gaming courts, lodge, and event center.
- Secure Alarm System.
- Check restrooms and bathhouses.
- Read and understand Resort Rules and Regulations.
- Remove all garbage from receptacles, replace liners and deliver to dumpster.
- Issue warnings and citations if problems are noticed.
- Check unoccupied condos according to checklist.
- Check all RV sites. No parking on grass, no tents, no vehicles parked in unoccupied RV. sites, no ATVs, dogs must be on leashes and owners must not leave RV unattended overnight.
- Check Sort Term and Long Term. Valid passes must be visible on stored or parked vehicles.
- Drive Resort boundaries and check for trespassers, fires, or other suspicious activities.
- ATV Inspections.
- Check swimming pools.
- Advise Resort Manager of all medical incidents immediately or other significant problems that occur during you shift. First Aid Kits are in Lodge and Break Room.
- Check Family Reunion Areas, their occupancy limit, and any rules being broken; write ticket if necessary.
- Drive into wilderness areas and check campers to make sure they have the correct and current tags. Make sure no infraction of rules is occurring. Write tickets as necessary. Check all property gates to insure they are locked.
3. Participate in all required health and safety meetings.
4. Always conduct themselves in a professional manner.
5. Be Present on time.
6. Help guests with requests and after hour check-ins.
7. Know power outage procedures and perform them.
8. Perform any other various duties that may be assigned by the manager.

High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities. Must be well organized and advocate team support. Ability to get along with diverse personalities. Be tactful, mature, and responsible. Have ability to professionally deal with staff, owners, guests, board members and the public. Can handle confrontation appropriately and in accordance with Resorts standards.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, talk, hear, and smell. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to lift at least 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High School Education or the equivalent.
- Fluency in written and verbal English.
- Ability to work industriously and independently at night during slow Resort usage periods.
- Ability to work well with guests and fellow employees.
- Ability to drive Security vehicle/golf cart
