Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Optometrist to work on Saturday mornings to join our ophthalmololgy team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional eye care services to our patients and contribute to the growth of our practice.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and ocular health
- Diagnose and treat visual conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids
- Detect and treat eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy. Must be able to medically manage eye diseases.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care
Skills:
- Proficient in conducting eye exams and assessments
- Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with optical equipment and tools for vision testing
- In-depth knowledge of ocular anatomy and common eye conditions
- Experience in managing medical records efficiently
