Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support the sales forecast at lowest total cost while meeting or exceeding required inventory turns.
- Place and expedite purchase orders, schedule materials, and production processes to ensure on-time delivery.
- Manage supplier performance.
- Work with Engineering, Estimating and Shop Floor on new product start up.
- Set up and maintain a variety of inventory programs (Kanban, Vendor Managed Inventory, Consignment).
- Analyzes and coordinates daily production schedules based on customers demands.
- Purchase raw materials and supplies based on needs for production.
- Assist new and existing customers with order placements.
- Manages projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Education: Associated Degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics, or related field, or High School Diploma or equivalent minimum with related work experience.
Experience and/or Training:
- 3 years experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain, purchasing function.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including supplier engagement.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, organization, planning, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills required.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient in MRP / ERP applications.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk in addition to lifting and/or carrying up to 25 lbs.
