A very prominent and rapidly growing food manufacturer is seeking to hire an experienced Food Safety Leader due to the continued growth of the organization. This role reports directly to the Site Quality Manager and will be responsible overseeing incoming ingredients, production procedures and outgoing finished products. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Strategically oversee Quality Assurance, Food Safety, and Regulatory Compliance operations to ensure quality requirements are met or exceeded.
- Assure proper sanitation levels of the facility.
- Coach and develop quality personnel.
- Manage Food Safety Programs including Food Safety Team, Food Safety Plan, Pest Control Program, Food Defense Program, Environmental Monitoring Program and Sanitation Program.
- Manage Kosher Certification and relationship with Rabbi.
Required Qualifications:
- College degree in food science and technology, chemistry, or equivalent job experience.
- 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with GFSI Standards, FDA Food Safety, and Quality Standards.
