Maintenance Technician Position
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and providing immediate predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance on all manufacturing plant equipment.
The Maintenance Technician will report to the Plant Manager and Plant Production Plant Manager.
Schedule : Monday-Friday 2pm-10 : 30pm
Competitive wages based on experience.
3 years of experience preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Repair of production equipment from basic hydraulic equipment to complex CNC machinery, performing both electrical and mechanical work
- Implement plant improvements and modifications as assigned
- Communicating accurately, concisely, and professionally with your customer as to important repair steps taken, parts ordered, and time estimated until completion
- Highly disciplined, problem-solver, logical thinking, troubleshooting team player with a strong work ethic
- Work with Operations to schedule maintenance of machinery as to minimize downtime during peak production times
- Assist with office or production area moves, coordinating with other pertinent departments
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with all departments
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Skills
- Graduation from a standard high school or vocational school is preferred but not required
- Additional training or experience is acceptable
- Excellent verbal / written communication and customer service skills
- Ability to read and interpret measuring devices
- Knowledge of machine schematics and control diagrams
- Knowledgeable of compressed air systems
- Experience in PLC and / or CNC, and test equipment repair procedures
- Basic Microsoft Office knowledge and / or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) knowledge is preferred
- Ability to express intelligently core hydraulic and electrical principles
- Able to work well with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
