Purchasing Assistant

Position Summary: This position will function in an administrative support role at the Youngsville manufacturing plant supporting purchasing, scheduling and other departments as needed. This role will need strong attention to detail, computer skills and the ability to handle a heavy workload in a fast paced environment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Reconcile all packing slips and purchase orders
• Handle invoicing and documenting in system
• Assist with scheduling paperwork and scanning
• Greet visitors, answer phone and respond to emails
• Strong data entry and administrative tasks as assigned

Required Skills:

• 2-4 year degree preferred
• 1-2yrs administrative, purchasing or accounting experience preferred
• Strong bookkeeping background and intermediate excel skills
• Manufacturing background preferred
• Some knowledge of basic inventory practices
• Strong computer skills, analytical and math skills needed
• Ability to act promptly and quickly under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail
