What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Car Spa, Inc.?
Our Maintenance Technician will be responsible for directly overseeing a given geography and specific number of locations. This person will be responsible for prioritizing, communicating, and being accountable for the equipment serving multiple stores. This person will be responsible for maintaining a quality preventative maintenance program within their span of control, successfully impacting the overall quality of our locations and equipment for the better.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and prioritizing work to optimize maintenance labor and skillsets.
- Able to estimate cost and time for all aspects of equipment maintenance and repair.
- Teach, audit, and assist management with accountability of preventative maintenance and care preformed at a site level.
- Create an effective partnership between Operations, and Maintenance
- Oversee and lead installations.
- Create and maintain parts storage across a large territory.
- Effectively perform store, equipment, and tool audits for scheduled and routine services.
- Monitor all conveyors, control systems, vacuum systems, payment centers, and other equipment or systems related to the car wash.
- Assemble, install and repair equipment following blueprints and schematics.
- Replace guards and protective devices after completion of project or repairs.
- Install, operate, repair, and maintain all car wash machinery and equipment in optimal working order.
- Consistently work at acceptable production levels.
- Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
- Comply with all company rules and regulations.
- Keep the work areas clean. (Cleanup during and after repairs or maintenance.
- Comprehend and utilize all system and vendor support.
- Prepare machine centers for daily use, working knowledge of hydraulics and various pump systems
- Continually work on preventative maintenance
- Diagnoses; repairs malfunctioning mechanical equipment using cutting, power, and hand tools
- Welding skills preferred by not required.
- Operate Production Equipment
- Other Duties as Needed
Education/Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing and/or maintenance required.
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality work and simultaneously manage several priorities at once
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in project management, strategic planning, and execution preferred but notrequired.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Travel up to 50% of the time
- Must maintain a valid drivers’ license
Skills
- Strong leadership skills and able to work with vendors and site management to navigate projects or direct phone support.
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical operations and troubleshooting
- Ability to research information to find solutions.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to manage time and complete tasks within scheduled timelines.
- Self-starter and able to work independently or in a team environment.
- Comfortable working with and influencing a team of non-direct reports.
