Carabetta is looking to hire an experienced Property Administrator for their Hartford, CT location!!
Pay: Depending on Experience
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
**This is an IN-OFFICE position - no remote/hybrid option**
The responsibilities of the Property Administrator are:
- Responsible for submitting monthly HUD vouchers and reconciling HUDWIRE monies.
- Ensure that re-certifications are current and submitted in a timely manner.
- Assist Senior Property Manager with submitting rent increase requests to housing agencies (voucher programs).
- Monitor and enforce occupancy requirements of HUD Subsidized Multifamily Housing program (Project-based Section 8) and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) compliance.
- Maintain current in Project-based Section 8 and LIHTC rules and procedures.
- Ensure that certifications are current and valid by participating in all continuing education/ recertification processes.
- Print monthly and quarterly EIV reports and provide resolution for the master EIV file.
- Process HUD special claims on a monthly basis.
- Ensure that all HUD financial reports, records, and paperwork are filed and performed correctly and in a timely manner
- Comply with all local, state and federal regulations as well as all company policies and procedures
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
The requirements of the Property Administrator are:
- MUST have 5 years or greater of experience in the management of HUD, PBRAs and LIHTC programs.
- MUST hold a Certified Occupancy Specialist ‘COS’ and/or Certified Voucher Specialist ‘CVS’ AND a LIHTC certification(s) from a recognized compliance agency.
- Have knowledge of Fair Housing Laws as well as familiarity with HUD regulations
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 lbs.
- Familiarity with Yardi software or similar property management systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to file documents systematically and maintain accurate records.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for effective interaction with tenants and vendors.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
