CardFlight is looking for an Human Resources Coordinator to join our team.

CardFlight has a location-neutral workplace with employees working across more than a dozen states. We maintain offices in NYC and Lincoln, NE, but most of our work and collaboration takes place across video and virtual communications channels. The HR Coordinator will make a significant contribution to the company and our team members by:

  • Supporting the HR / People Operations team by ensuring key HR processes and record keeping are maintained with precision, accuracy and consistency.
  • Coordinating and implementing a range of engagement activities to the benefit of CardFlight employees across the company

CardFlight designs and delivers software that helps small businesses accept payments. Over 95,000 businesses across every U.S. state use SwipeSimple, our signature project. The team is composed of professionals in engineers and software developers, sales, marketing, and customer operations and finance roles.

This HR Coordinator role reports to the Head of People and can be based anywhere in the continental U.S.

What You’ll Do

HR Administrative Support

  • Maintain employees’ records
  • Prepare letters for employees to document changes in compensation and positions. 
  • Assist with payroll
  • Provide assistance on uploading HR policies; assigning numbers; managing updated versions and drafts
  • Assist with the key projects through each year:
    • Performance Management cycles
    • Annual Goal-setting
    • Employee Manual updates
  • Support New Hire Onboarding:
    • Ensure new-hire welcome gifts are ordered and delivered
    • Schedule New Hire Orientation sessions
    • Ensure new hire records and documentation are appropriately gathered and filed
    • Coordinate equipment needs remote offices
  • Support Offboarding:
    • Process terminations: send voluntary termination email; schedule exit interviews with terminating employee and HR Manager; maintain exit survey spreadsheet; ensure termination checklist is completed.
    • Coordinate company equipment return upon departure
  • Data tracking and reporting
    • PTO Usage
    • Equipment Stipends
    • Learning & Development Stipends
  • Assist with internal and external HR related inquiries and requests, as directed
  • Ensure all presentation decks originating in the HR team are accurate and meet CardFlight brand and communication standards.
  • Ad-hoc HR projects

Engagement Activities and Events

  • Plan and implement company-wide and team activities, according to plan
  • Celebrate employee Birthdays and Work anniversaries
  • Coordinate (order, ship, etc.) snacks and gifts to employees, according to plan
  • Provide support to the leaders of CardFlight Employee Resource Groups
  • Provide support to employees planning CardFlight Cultural Connection activities

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • 2 years business experience in Human Resources
  • Flexible and adaptable to organizational change
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing needs
  • High degree of confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive information

What We’d Like to you Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, human resources, communications, or a related field or equivalent in professional experience.
