We are seeking a Customer Service Sales Specialist in our Menomonee Falls office. Cardinal Components Inc., in business since 1983, is seeking an energetic sales professional to join our growing industrial fastener sales team. This candidate should be comfortable interacting with customers to provide a high level of customer service through gathering requirements, problem solving and sharing information. Most importantly, the candidate is eager and comfortable to ask for and close the sale! Working as an Inside Sales Specialist, you must have a strong interest in customer service/sales and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while minding the details. Candidates must be willing to develop into a technical expert on a product line and demonstrate excellent communication, intuition, organization and arithmetic skills. Everyday is filled with new sales opportunities to encounter, engage and close. Typical work week entails 40-45 hours in the office, there is little-to-no overnight travel. Compensation package includes hourly pay, scalable incentive pay and great benefits (base incentive).
Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of this position are service-based and will present new and diverse challenges daily. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prior experience as inside sales, quoting specialist, sales engineer and/or customer service specialist in a business-to-business manufacturing/distribution environment is highly desired, at least two years preferred.
- Ability to determine what product(s) the customer needs
- Comfortable with quoting (applying a proper markup to cost of goods)
- Ability to be confident, negotiate and ask for the order
- Passion for deriving best cost & delivery with suppliers
- Gain product knowledge of our product lines
- Good listening skills, able to identify and then ask the right questions
- Ability to comprehend, note and carry out oral and written customer directives
- Eager to hold friendly dialogue and educate customers over the phone/email
- Entering and maintaining quotes into a CRM system
- Follow-up with prospects and customers
- Take phone/email orders
- Create sales orders and place purchase orders with “zero-error” quality
- Maintain and create customer or supplier data into ERP system
- Email and call new leads
- Work efficiently and accurately, touch things just once to completion
- Establish daily priorities
- Maintain focus and “mind the details” in a busy environment
- Follow ISO 9001 quality procedures
- Demonstrate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
