As the Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS), you will be primarily responsible for completing comprehensive functional behavior assessments and developing/updating behavior support plans for individuals, emphasizing positive approaches to teaching replacement behaviors.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):
- Master’s degree from a Clinical or Treatment field of Psychology or Social Work and must meet OPWDD specific BIS credentials
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Valid driver's license is required
- Proficiency with common computer applications, including Microsoft Office
- Complete/update comprehensive functional behavior assessments for individuals displaying undesirable and/or socially unacceptable behavior
- Develop/update behavior support plans
- Provide training, guidance, and coaching to the staff regarding behavior support interventions
- Collect, review, and file data
- Report trends in positive outcomes and areas of concern
- Ensure data is entered into the OPWDD’s Restrictive Intervention Application (RIA) and provide quarterly reports
- Communicate regularly with psychiatrists
- Remain current with regards to OPWDD and ICF regulatory changes and updates
- Additional duties as assigned
