What Territory Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Distribution is responsible for cold calling, prospecting and building relationships that will increase account penetration, revenue growth and customer satisfaction within a specified product line, business segment and/or geography. Focus areas will include driving new business as well as increasing penetration in existing accounts. Sells products and services that help facilitate patient care predominately through optimizing the supply chain and the selection and management of the products within.
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for managing a sales region that will include a combination of large, medium, and small volume customers. The key deliverables are 1.) retain existing customers, 2.) grow new and existing channel customers, and 3.) deliver bottom line profitability. This individual will be required to cultivate and maintain customer relationships and deliver an exceptional sales experience across their book of business. Tasked with driving growth within existing accounts and securing net new distribution customers through aggressive sales tactics, value proposition positioning, and disciplined deal modeling. Lead generation, pipeline development, account planning, and engagement documentation (including agenda-based calls, QBR’s, etc.), are core sales processes to map and maximize region performance. Individual will be required to partner with our product sales team to drive penetration of our private label / house brand products within our distribution customers. Strong cross-functional partnership and communication are needed to manage the supply chain and back-office operations on behalf of customer base. Responsibilities include:
- Create compelling selling strategies to secure new customer volume and maintain existing accounts.
- Hold regular business reviews and cadences with key customers to drive improvements and develop strategic relationships.
- Navigate service / performance challenges; identify and execute mitigation solutions.
- Leverage financial acumen to develop deal models that delivery a competitive offer for customers while delivering bottom line profitability to the business.
- Understand competitive landscape in their region and develops counter strategies to retain and win business in competitive scenarios.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendor partners to achieve desired results.
- Partner with other sales teams to maximize scale and leverage across the enterprise.
- Engage internal teams to cross reference and price products to win the marketplace.
- Develop regional sales plans and robust pipeline to achieve fiscal year targets; maintains accurate and up-to-date information in SFDC relative to pipeline opportunities, customer contact information, and key sales activities
- Participate on project teams to improve processes, team tools/resources, and to elevate customer experience
- Interact with internal and/or external leaders, including senior management.
- Leverage organizational awareness to overcome obstacles and influence positive outcomes, while maintaining relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- 4 years related sales experience, preferred
- Healthcare experience – long term, home health and/or non-acute, preferred
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Valid driver’s license

Anticipated pay range: $110,000 - $145,000 (includes targeted variable pay)
