At CMCS (Cardinal McCloskey Community Services), our mission is to protect, empower and promote independence for at-risk children and families and those with developmental disabilities through quality community-based services.
As a Director of Children's Services Nursing, you will be responsible for working with the Senior Vice President to implement the agency's mission, vision and values within all areas of the department. Responsibilities include the development of department goals and objectives as well as the coordination and supervision of the full range of health services for the Special Medical Preventive Program and Enhanced Family Foster Care Program. S/he understand the needs, both medical and emotional, of our pediatric participants in both our foster care settings and prevention programs as well as the value of Quality Assurance. The Director works to ensure that participants have the highest standard of care, and that that such care is in compliance with all regulatory standards. Knowing the standards to which staff and the agency are held is critical, so the Director keeps abreast of mandates set forth by our oversight agencies and other relevant organizations, including but not limited to ACS and OCFS, COA and, of course, the American Academy of Pediatrics. This role is a hybrid role and the Director is to be on site at least two days a week.
Requirements:
- Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Prior nursing experience in a child welfare setting required.
Additional Requirements:
- At least two years of supervisory/administrative experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable about health issues across the lifespan for the special populations of foster care and youth with special medical needs.
- Able to travel as needed.
