AVP Risk Control Governance

The position is responsible for developing and managing the risk and control framework focused on independent monitoring, testing, and evaluation of risk and controls for the Credit Operations and Credit Risk Management business lines. This includes ensuring the controls and monitoring adhere to existing policies and standards, regulatory requirements, and best industry business practices. This role involves extensive communication with various operating groups, including Internal/External Audit, Regulatory Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), and executive leadership.   Key Skills and Experience Required:   Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal communication, verbal/written presentation skills, and the ability to work independently.   Excellent planning, organizational, time management, and critical (problem-solving) thinking skills.   Experience within lending risk management, regulatory compliance and related risk control and monitoring for credit originations and portfolio management.   Experience using and/or configuring Archer Engage/Insight or similar risk governance platform is preferred   Experience with SAS, SQL, Oracle, or related database analytical and query software is preferred.      Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance, Economics or Accounting is required, four (4) years’ experience accepted in lieu of education requirement.  Five (5) years’ experience with risk management, risk control, audit or compliance is required.
