The Nurse Educator is a member of the Silver Lining team under the supervision of the Director and the Regional Director of Nursing. The Nurse Educator is responsible for the instruction of the Home Health Aide training, orientation, and in-service education for both applicants and active employees.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
  • Follow the regulations of the Home Health Agency Aide Only Licensure
  • Teach classroom and clinical work
  • Evaluate and grade students class work, assignments, and papers.
  • Administer and grade examinations
  • Maintain student attendance, grades, and other required records
  • Select and obtain materials and supplies for the course
  • Demonstrate and teach Patient Care in clinical units

Requirements:

  • Registered and in good standing as Registered Nurse with the Delaware State Board of Nursing
  • At least 2 years of RN experience in acute care, public health, nursing facility or home health agency
  • Attention to detail, be organized and possess strong communication skills
  • Have a passion for education
  • Satisfactory reference from prior employers
