Research Associate

Research Associate – Grant Position  32 or 40 hours 

Care Dimensions was founded in 1978 as Hospice of the North Shore and was one of the nation’s first hospice programs. We have evolved from a small, all-volunteer agency and today we are the largest hospice in Massachusetts with a staff of more than 700 and 500 volunteers. In 2019, we cared for 5,639 hospice patients and more than 1570 palliative care patients.  We serve an average of 958 hospice patients and 600 palliative care patients each day. 

How You'll Contribute: 

The Research Associate will assist the Director of Research with data collection and monitoring associated with the research study.  The Research Associate assists the Principal Investigator and the study team at the University of Utah in achieving study integrity and objectives through the successful completion of protocols and procedures. 

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Nursing, or, a health sciences field with two years professional research experience preferred.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and IRB regulations; an understanding of research procedures; and the ability to function independently is preferred. 
• IRB CITI Course in the Protection of Human Research Subjects certificate obtained prior to engagement in research.
• Preference will be given to applicants with experience with hospice, cancer and/or home care.
• Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (not public transportation) to perform job duties.
