Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Occupational Health Per Diem
Care New England has opportunities for LPNs in the greater RI area. We are adding LPN staff to assist our teams in our Occupational health offices.
Note: This role can provide services at one of Care New England facilities including: Women & Infants Hospital, Providence, RI, Kent County Hospital, Warwick, RI, and Butler Hospital, Providence, RI. At time of hire, preferred and or available locations schedules will be reviewed.
Working under the guidance of the Nursing staff, provide support to the Occupational Health on-site team: provide first aid/initial assessment for employees, maintains appropriate records and reporting of work-related illnesses/injuries ad helps screen new employees.
Primary Function (LPN)
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions as a member of the inpatient healthcare team while delivering excellent care and exemplary customer service.
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) the LPN provides routine nursing care, observes patients vital signs and general health, and assists other caregivers as directed. He/she provides supervision and delegation of appropriate tasks to nursing assistants and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) within the assigned care team.
Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the highest level of service is provided within applicable scope of practice.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
Vocational/technical training in Nursing and a minimum of one years job-related experience or equivalent is required. RI State Licensure is also required.
