What are the responsibilities and job description for the VNA Homecare Home Health Aide-CNA position at Care New England?
SUMMARY: The role of the Program Aide (licensed C.N.A.) would be to provide quality and safe delivery of personal care services including, but not limited to, serving/feeding of meals, laundry, ambulating, toileting, and assist with the implementation of therapeutic/daily activities. The Program Aide will follow a care plan developed by the Program Nurse and will work under their supervision, in accordance with certification standards of the Office of Healthy Aging (formerly known as the Department of Elderly Affairs). Additional tasks may be appointed if said tasks directly support the employees core responsibilities, or are in the best interest of the organization and its clients. This individual would comply with all expectation set forth by the facility supervisor.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year of experience within a health care setting; preferably with geriatric patients and mental health clients.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS: Current RI Department of Health CNA license, Current BLS CPR Certification
EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
