This position will be responsible for prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests while maintaining the bar.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipe standards and accurately alcohol according to specific measures. Take and deliver food orders. Utilize POS for inputting accurate orders, collecting payment, and making change.
- Stock and maintain the bar inventory; maintain a clean and organized work area, washing glasses as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service and exude a warm and hospitable nature to owners and guests, engaging everyone in conversation.
- Adhere to state and local laws. Check identification of customers to ensure that they are of legal drinking age. They also manage their alcohol intake to prevent over intoxication and drinking and driving.
- Responsible for general upselling
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
- 2 years relevant experience in Full Service Bars preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- ServeSafe certified, TIPS certified, and/or other state alcohol commission required certification
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Anticipate customer needs and maintain excellent guest service
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
