The Corporate Risk Evidenced Based Control Evaluation (CR EBCE) team is part of the Control Management organization evaluating whether controls are well-designed and operating effectively. The approach is tailored based on the Risk and Control Self-Assessment. EBCE supports risk management in alignment with the Risk Management Framework and is responsible for performing evidence-based evaluations while documenting outcomes based on policies and procedures.In this role, you will:
Lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging risks with broad impact
Act as key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Control Management functional area
Monitor moderately complex business specific programs, and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies
Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
Develop and implement risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls
Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies
Lead Control Management project or virtual teams
Develops and maintains partnerships with the business by consulting and providing guidance in the control design to effectively mitigate risks, including design of effective means of measurement.
Assists with the development and enhancement of the business control environment through execution of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program.
Partners with business owners to create corrective action plans, and report and escalate issue status and concerns.
Provides ongoing monitoring and assessment of operating/control environment to identify significant gaps and weaknesses and determine root cause of control issues.
Assists with the design of appropriate metrics to inform and monitor the health of the operational risk environment.
Required Qualifications, US:5 years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:
Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with business and functional areas
Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
Ability to develop and negotiate solutions to issues with partners or clients including escalations as needed
Ability to identify gaps through risk based testing
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, achieve goals, in a dynamic and complex environment
Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
Experience assessing control design and performance through testing, audit or Risk Control Self-Assessment practices
Ability to synthesize data from a variety of sources and deliver results quickly
Experience assessing processes, procedures and identifying controls
Comprehensive understanding of operational risk management in the financial services or other highly regulated industries
Experience in assessing risk, reviewing risk ratings, identifying control gaps and determining the appropriate evaluation methodology.
Experience creating test questions or test scripts
