Contract Specialist

As required by Executive Order 14042, Federal contractor employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 regardless of the employee’s duty location or work arrangement (e.g., telework, remote work, etc.), subject to such exceptions as required by law. DESCRIPTION: JMA Solutions has an opportunity available for an experienced full-time Contract Specialist supporting the Contracts Department. The individual should have strong attention to detail, excel, invoicing, and knowledge of government contracts. This position is located in Washington, DC.
 

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Provide direct support to the Contracts Department and Program Managers. Review and process the company’s invoice to the customer
• Strong attention to details on the contract; SOW (Statements of Work), Bill Rates, Billable hour, Contract start and end dates
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting procedures
• Track and document contract activities
• Projecting/Forecasting the contract funding and ending status
• Create graphs, charts, tables and perform numerical calculations
• Generate output/reports and provide data analysis
• Create templates, edit and compile monthly reports
• Maintain customer contact list
• Maintain Invoice Status Tracking Sheet
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus
• General accounting and math skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external parties at all levels and manage confidential financial matters
• Ability to prioritize projects to meet required deadlines
• Knowledge of government invoicing procedures

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s Degree with two (2) years of experience.
