Dispatcher

The Royal Group, a subsidiary of Schwarz Partners is currently seeking a Dispatcher to support our Cicero, IL facility. Under the direction of the Shipping Office Supervisor, the dispatcher coordinates with drivers and spotters to manage trailer yards and ensure delivery of freight to customers. The Royal Group’s mission is to provide value-added solutions to the most demanding customers. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION: Coordinate and assist with the dispatch of daily truck routes.Work with drivers to ensure that freight arrives on time at the right location.Verify when orders have been completed.Keep close track of spotters and drivers to ensure their efficient utilization.Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely manner and provide support in any way necessary.Respond efficiently, thoroughly, and professionally to drivers and other departments.Work with customer service/sales to provide solutions for customers’ needs and resolve issues. REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED. REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Positive and clear interpersonal communicator.Willing to train.Ability to read and interpret documents.Transportation and/or dispatching experience preferred.Proficient with the use of computers.
