Maintenance Technician (Distribution)

Royal Bay, a TRG company and subsidiary of Schwarz Partners, is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Cicero, IL facility. As our Maintenance Technician you will fix and troubleshoot heavy industrial machinery, electrical issues, handle projects, and execute job assignments provided by the Shipping and Receiving Manager.  Helps and executes direction from Inventory Warehouse Manager on projects needing attention.  The Maintenance Tech will also assist with monitoring all trucks in and out of the facility ensuring proper timing is being implemented.   The Royal Group’s mission is to provide value-added solutions to the most demanding customers. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION: Maintaining a clean assembly line work area. Disposing of trash and debris coming from pallets at the line. Helps prepare production lines with any equipment that is needed.  Tape gun, extension cords, glue machine, etc. Performs preventive maintenance on small machines. Confirms and controls inventory for warehouse supply. Assist with safety concerns throughout the warehouse. Keeps track of all hazard’s chemicals throughout the warehouse in a safe locked storage cabinet.   REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED. 3 to 5 years of industrial maintenance expereince.   THE ROYAL GROUP REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees of the organization. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to add, to subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use tape measure; and to use a computer.
