Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic or physician's office with the ability to perform venipunctures. MEDICAL ASSISTANT - MA - POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prepare patients for examination according to setting and specialty by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summary
- Ability to perform venipuncture duties, collect and prepare blood samples and lab specimens, and follow sterile procedures
- Must be comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Assist physicians and other medical staff during patient examinations
- Phlebotomy experience is required, must be comfortable performing high-volume blood draws
- Ability to work with other personnel and develop/maintain good relations
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of care and current clinical practice, treatments, and interventions
- Ability to understand and monitor applicable regulations, policies, and procedures
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with rules and regulations
- Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism
- Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc.
- Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
- Demonstrate proficiency in written/verbal skills in the English language
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with navigating EMR systems
MEDICAL ASSISTANT - MA - JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 1 year of MA experience in a clinic or physician's office with the ability to perform venipunctures
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug screen with nicotine included
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
