Who We’re Looking For:
Are you an ambitious marketing communications professional that believes you can make a difference for other young people? CareerWise is seeking a marketing associate who will lead the charge for CareerWise New York marketing communications initiatives.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications, the Marketing Associate will be supporting CareerWise New York’s social media platforms, content calendar, local online and in-person event coordination, and email marketing campaigns. In many cases, this position may serve as the first point of contact for other CareerWise New York teams, and as such, candidates for this role must demonstrate exceptional project management.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- PROJECT MANAGEMENT | Coordinate communications, design, content, and logistics across CareerWise teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery of quality projects
- EVENTS | Support the planning and execution of local events for various audiences such as students, employers, educators and policymakers.
- SOCIAL | Contribute strategic content and guidance for CareerWise Colorado’s social media presence on various platforms
- EMAIL COMMS | With guidance from the digital marketing manager, build and execute email and text communications through Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Additional projects supporting high profile marketing communications opportunities
Key competencies to be successful in this role:

- Familiarity with the basics of event planning and coordination
- Familiarity with social media platforms and preferred with email platforms

Additional proficiencies:
- Two to three years of experience in marketing and/or communications
- Exceptional project management and critical thinking skills
- Professional communication skills in person and online
- Experience using Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
- Experience preferred but not required using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Adobe suite

Location:
This role is based in New York City. CareerWise New York staff typically work a hybrid schedule and require 3 days in the office and other days remote. Remote work is not guaranteed and the schedule must be approved by the supervisor. There may be occasions (possibly 1-3 times per year) for staff to gather together in person. Exceptions will be made for special circumstances.
Compensation:
The starting salary range for this role is: $65,000 (min) - $75,000 (mid) annually; this role is not covered by the minimum wage and overtime provisions of the FLSA. CareerWise offers a generous benefits package including group medical, dental, and vision plans, short-term disability, 100% vested 401k Plan with a 3% employer contribution, and Flexible Time Off.
