The Corporate Medical Director guides the development of clinical programs and is the physician leader for utilization management and care management, with the purpose of improving clinical outcomes and optimizes the use of medical resources. The Corporate Medical Director is responsible for the management of the provider staff, with the assistance and oversight of the Regional Medical Directors. The Corporate Medical Director also provides guidance to the organization on matters of a clinical nature, including medical record documentation and quality improvement workflows, system development and enhancements. The Corporate Medical Director assists in delivering feedback to providers, developing provider incentive programs and implementing clinical initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
· Medical doctor, primary care specialty preferred, with an active, unrestricted Florida license
· A minimum of seven-years’ experience in direct patient care
· A minimum of five-years’ experience as a medical director of a physician organization
· A minimum of three-years’ experience using an EMR system
· Ability to conceptualize the operating health care system and to understand the functions and interoperability of different company departments
· Experience with Medicare and Medicaid value based reimbursement
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
· Medical doctor, primary care specialty preferred, with an active, unrestricted Florida license

· Ability to review and understand data and reports, and use the information for further inquiry, problem-solving and decision-making
· Experience in creating clinical programs and achieving expected results
· Knowledge of Stars and HEDIS programs and initiatives
· Knowledge of Medicare risk adjustment methodology

· Ability to engage providers in clinical programs

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Leads the strategy and development, and guides the operations of medical management services, including referrals processes and care management
· Develops care management and disease management programs that address the needs and improve the outcomes of critical patient populations
· Provides guidance to the organization, and supports provider education and clinical workflows to improve clinical documentation and optimize coding
· Provides guidance to the organization’s efforts in Stars and HEDIS enhancement initiatives
· Establishes relationships with managed care organizations and collaborates efforts to improve quality of care and cost-effectiveness
· Directs primary care provider recruitment, hiring and on-boarding
· Directs and oversees the Regional Medical Directors, and assists them in ensuring providers are striving to deliver the highest quality of care
· Builds strong relationships with primary care providers to engage them in medical management and quality improvement programs and to encourage problem-solving
· Assists in activities to deliver provider feedback on performance and promote understanding of organizational initiatives, including group and individual provider meetings
· Together with the Chief Medical Officer, supports clinical aspects of organizational initiatives and health care delivery
· Assists in the development of provider incentive programs that encourage improvements in clinical outcomes and patient engagement
· Works with data analyst to identify needed reports and in the development of reports by providing guidance on the data to be collected and reporting format
· Champions service excellence and patient satisfaction
· Other duties as assigned
