The Supervisor of Operations is responsible for leading, organizing, and supervising processes and daily workflow for the operation team List 4 and Refill Technicians.
Responsibilities
* Serve as the point of contact for all questions or issues related to the admissions process.
* Perform quality audits, evaluate performance, and assist with group and individual training to employees.
* Assist in the development and implementation of training manuals.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures relating to pharmacy operations and professional practice standards.
* Provide reports, statistics, and status to management.
* Identify gaps or improvements in processes, recommend solutions and implement changes.
* Other projects assigned by Manager.
* Manage workload effectively to ensure department is meeting performance standards.
* Develop the skills that support effective leadership.
* Participate in setting team goals, monitoring progress, measuring success, and rewarding achievements.
* Expedite prescription processing by performing all duties necessary and allowable, by policy or law
* Verify insurance for limits and parameters of policy.
* Input required patient and prescription information into system.
* Update Sales Staff with pertinent information.
* Complete order set up.
* Communicate with physician's office to request chart notes, lab results or Rx clarifications.
Skills & Abilities
* Knowledge of standard medical terminology
* Meet any continuing education requirements of the company's clinical program, as defined within the company's policy and procedures
* Ability to handle challenging situations in a professional and proficient manner utilizing available resources and critical thinking skills
* Ability to learn quickly, solve problems, and make decisions that promote a positive impact on patient care and internal pharmacy operations.
* Demonstrate excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
* Demonstrate proficiency in the use of MS Office software, which includes Excel, Word, and Outlook

Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Minimum of one-year in leadership
* Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida
* Minimum of one-year experience in retail, mail order or specialty pharmacy
* Expertise in prescription entry and prescription drug knowledge
* National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician highly preferred
* Knowledge of basic pharmacy terminology, evaluation, and pharmaceutical law Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Must understand computer technology
