Coater Operator

Position Summary:

The person filling this role reports to the Sensitizing Supervisor and will perform a variety of tasks including material handling, film inspection and packaging material for shipment. The current work schedule with overtime and pattern pay generate an entry level earning potential greater than $50,000/year.

Compensation may also be commensurate with manufacturing or applicable experience.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manufacture diagnostic medical film.

• Support flexible workforce objectives.

• Apply Lean manufacturing concepts

• Maintain clean/safe work area

• Statistical Process Control

• Product sampling and testing procedures.

• PIT & PPE certification

• Package product for shipping.

• Quality Management System.

Required Skills & Education:

• Ability to work 12 hour shift on shop floor, with demonstrated mechanical aptitude. (ideally previous experience in manufacturing environment). Work Hours: 12 hrs per shift; 7:00 am to 7:00 pm; 3/2 work shift rotation.

• Experience following standard work directions, and change documentation, written in English, to assemble components, or follow a sequence of operations.

• Ability to perform general warehouse housekeeping and material moves.

• Package product and prepare for shipping.

• Obtain product samples and perform quality testing procedures.

• Able to effectively use time to maintain work flow in low light (darkroom) conditions.

• Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills to function in team communication and decision processes, including passing training for two way radio communications.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively for short durations.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Power Industrial Trucks to move materials in manufacturing environment.

• Able to troubleshoot production issues in a complex and fast paced environment.

• Experience with automated production reporting systems.
