Payroll Administrator
CareXM is the largest provider in the U.S. of afterhours medical support. Our mission is to elevate patient care. We focus on hospice, home health, physician offices, and other medical facilities. We have 800 employees who strive daily to provide solutions that solve urgent patient, physician, and caregiver issues.
Our Payroll Administrator will perform all activities necessary to process Care XM payroll, including maintaining related records, maintaining time collection records, filing tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, preparing accounting transactions and documents, documenting and updating procedures, and preparing special reports for management. As the highest-ranking employee whose primary responsibility is payroll, administrator is solely responsible for all payroll-related activities. This position reports to the Controller and requires a strong understanding of Company compensation programs, supporting calculations, approval processes and deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Input, update, and process sensitive employee payroll information requiring absolute confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Processes employee payroll timely and accurately
  • Ensures accuracy of payroll entry in the general ledger
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information.
  • Understand and ensure compliance of payroll taxation, garnishments, and other pay benefits of part-time and full-time.
  • Manage W2’s and audit information to ensure accuracy at year end
  • Coordinates with HR on payroll processes and reporting
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Requires an associate degree, or equivalent training and education beyond high school
  • Coursework in accounting, business, or administration preferred
  • At least 5 year of experience with payroll (preferred)
  • Proficient in multi-state payroll processing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Able to maintain 100% confidentiality and discretion
  • High attention to detail, organized, and ability to work independently
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential
