CARFAIR ME Tech Assistant
Carfair Composites is a leader in fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) design and composites technology and has dedicated team members located in facilities between Winnipeg, MB (Canada), St.
Cloud, MN (USA), and Anniston, AL (USA), Wausaukee, WI (USA) and Gillett, WI (USA).
POSITION SUMMARY :
This position supports the ME team with providing and maintaining documents including work instructions, SOPs, etc. Responsible to ensure all documentation is up to date and accessible to all Carfair sites.
WHAT YOU WILL DO :
1. Creates and documents Work Instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with the support of the Manufacturing Engineer team.
2. Manages the Carfair database of WIs to ensure accurate and up to date.
3. Ensures that WIs and SOPs are accessible to all sites.
4. Ensures documentation is compliant to ISO standards for audits.
5. Works closely with the ME, Sales and Marketing, Production teams for all sites.
6. Prepares and maintains documentation related to the PPAP and FAI processes.
7. Provides administrative support as required to the ME team.
8. All other assigned duties
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL :
- BA or BS required
- Minimum of 2-5 years in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of how bill of materials, and routings are generated / maintained
- Understanding of FRP manufacturing processes an asset
- Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Ability to deal with changing demands and priorities based on the customer needs.
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Use of general office equipment (PC, cell phone, etc)
- Strong Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat skills
- Must have experience with Windows, electronic mail, electronic scheduler, Microsoft office applications.
- Experience with Manufacturing business systems essential.
- Understanding of LEAN concepts and applications an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Travel 15% - must hold valid driver’s license.
- Must hold valid passport to travel between Canada and the US
