Key Accountabilities:
Accountable for ensuring that the Red Meat area has the best work environment possible for quality production.- Perform multiple tasks in a timely manner including:
- Inspecting areas of all lines and disposing of any mess that may be hazardous
- Taking out full garbage bags and any boxes that need thrown out
- Reconditioning meat following proper procedure
- Wash and sanitize production tools as needed following proper procedures
- Communication skills for the following:
- Speaking with other line workers if there is an area that needs cleaned
- Reporting any hazards, injuries, near misses, or any production problems to the supervisor in a timely and concise manner
- Physically able to complete the tasks of:
- Walking and standing for long periods of time
- Frequently bending to sweep and scoop items off the floor
- Lift trash bags weighing 40-50 pounds
- Rotate to any designated area requested by a group leader and/or supervisor
Required Qualifications:
Basic math ability (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division)- Basic computer skills
- Availability to work outside of normal shift up to including weekend and off shift hours as needed.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous food manufacturing experience.- Previous leadership experience.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Production experience
- Work history in the last 12 months
