Principal Accountabilities
- Ensure compliance with all safety and food safety, and HR programs, policies, and regulations.
- Meet deadlines, be accountable and always set a positive example.
- Be customer focused and strive to produce the quality products they desire.
- Must be able to lead others through conflict resolution, engagement, and coaching.
- Comprehend Process Flow Management.
- Meet daily with supervisors and production team(s) for planning and goal tracking.
- Gather supplies, equipment, and tools for the Pack Off department (trash/inedible).
- Ensure the employees are ready to enter production area to start at set-up.
- Ensure the set-up and start-up goals of the department are met.
- Communicate to Production Supervisor and record times product order completion.
- Ensure employees are following GMP, Safety, and Operational procedures.
- Assist in staggered breaks and lunches (scheduling).
- Track employee attendance.
- Complete SSOP and downtime forms.
- Equipment per appropriate PM schedule and conduct emergency maintenance when needed.
- Verify date codes and product scheduled for the day and week.
- Monitor scanning system(s).
- Attend standup meetings.
- Ensure employees have correctly broken down equipment in the Grind Room area, covered all sensitive screens and executed a clean dry pick-up.
- Must be able to make decisions quickly in an ever-changing atmosphere.
- Focus on individuals and help them achieve their goals at this facility.
- Train and develop others.
- Recognize stakeholders for the work that they do.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds daily.
- Must be able to safely operate electric reach truck, forklift, and pallet jack (training offered).
Required Qualifications
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Availability to work weekends and overtime as required.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must have strong problem solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous production, operator, and retail packaging experience.
- Proficient in maintenance and or operation of packaging equipment.
- Previous leadership experience in manufacturing environment.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Prior industrial meat industry work experience with a like competitor.
- Prior work history in a production background that deals with speed and repetition.
- Recent related work history.
