The Pilot is responsible for aircraft as pilot in command to the most complex locations and highest risk international locations, ensuring safe and efficient transportation solutions for passengers on the company aircraft anywhere in the world. In this role, you will primarily serve as pilot in command and trip captain for international flights. You will serve as pilot in command and trip captain for domestic flights as needed. You will maintain qualifications for the most complex aircraft and will directly support the flight department management, overseeing the most complicated and highest department priorities in executing corporate aircraft's objective. You will assume chief pilot responsibilities in the absence of the chief pilot.
Responsible for passenger and crew safety and the comfortable and timely operation of company aircraft.
Provide time based flight and navigation solutions to fulfill customer transportation requirements.
Monitor weather, navigation and airspace limitations and customer requirements, handle delays, reroutes and cancellations and coordinate international trips with the lead passenger, administrative assistants and the aircraft scheduler.
Serve as pilot, dispatcher, baggage handler, flight attendant and security monitor and aides in troubleshooting maintenance issues.
Ensure safe, efficient, private and flexible long range transportation for the executive team, senior management, company employees, board members and guests.
Identify and troubleshoot maintenance issues that develop away from the aircraft hangar and perform minor maintenance functions allowed under aviation regulations, partnering with the maintenance staff.
Mentor personnel on operational culture and procedures, onboarding training, policies, procedures, expectations, effective management and all aspects of aviation operations within the organization.
Other duties as assigned
Provide expert consultative guidance for initiating strategic long-range goals and objectives. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
First class medical certificate
Airline transport pilot certificate with multi engine land rating
One or more aircraft type certificates
Deep knowledge of aviation and pilot regulations and compliance documentation needed by local, state, federal and international laws and procedures
Minimum of flight time experience of 3500 hours total time, 2500 hours of turbine powered aircraft experience in turbojet, turbofan or turbopropeller
Minimum of 10 years military or professional pilot experience
Well versed on global political, geographical, regulatory, physiological and meteorological requirements to ensure safe worldwide operations
Minimum of eight years of related work experience
Gulfstream 650 experience
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or master of business administration
Certified aviation manager accreditation
International flight experience on all continents excluding Antarctica
750 hours of Gulfstream 650 experience
