Payroll Accountant- Cargotec Holdings Inc.- (Perrysburg, OH)

Hybrid role for someone in the Perrysburg, OH area- person will be required to work onsite one (1) day per week (usually Thursdays).

Salary: $62-65k/year (eligible for annual bonus)

Purpose of Position

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • US Payroll Accounting Subject Matter Expert
  • Preparation of payroll journal entries for supported ERP systems
  • Review and fund payroll related expenses (retirement plan/401K, flexible spending accounts, union dues)
  • Compile accruals, estimates, and audits including vacation, worker’s compensation, and 401K
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual duties such as invoicing business units, compile/calculation of PUCC, reconciliation of taxes, etc.
  • Reconcile payroll ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies
  • Provide ad hoc support as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need to succeed

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources or other related field

Experience:

  • 4 years of relevant business experience, preferred
  • Experience using the following systems: SAP (preferred)

Competencies:

  • Well oriented with Cargotec’s Code of Conduct, vision and strategy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work with a team; including the ability to work with remote teams
  • Fluent in English (both oral and written)
