Position Summary:
The Commercial Education Manager is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the training program within Caris Life Sciences, ensuring the knowledge and proficiency of the commercial group will be adequate to help the organization in achieving desired company goals and metrics. The Manager will report to the Director of Training and work closely with the other members of the Commercial Education Team, the Sales Leadership Team, Marketing, field based personnel, and other departments to maintain a high level of communication, uncover needs, and create a strategy for constant improvement. In addition, the Manager will continuously explore, assess, and present cutting edge tools and industry trends to enhance the effectiveness of the training department in meeting the needs of a maturing organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the development, management, and deployment of core curriculum for new hires to the organization
- Design (creates agenda and training materials) and facilitate training classes as necessary
- Regularly assess the performance of the commercial team and seek to identifies regional and national training needs and competency gaps and collaborate to devise a training plan(s) for improvement
- Organize, lead, and present virtual and in-person trainings when requested
- Define and create educational curriculums/content to meet performance objectives for various functional groups within Caris
- Measure effectiveness of training programs and develop reports
- Field travel with members of the commercial team to learn about field challenges that can be supported by training as well as provide just in time coaching feedback to field team personnel and their supervisor
- Travel to meetings and training classes
- Collaborate with Learning & Technology vendors to execute various training initiatives
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of all Caris Life Sciences products and processes
- Lead teams, work cross-functionally, and manage deadlines
- Manage multiple projects concurrently while prioritizing needs
- Provide meeting (national and regional sales meetings) support as required
- Submit all necessary paperwork, including travel itineraries, activity reports, monthly reports and expense reports, as required, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Healthcare sales experience.
- Possess high degree of leadership and communication skills.
- Possess strong knowledge of oncology therapeutics and molecular laboratory science is an advantage.
- Proficient computer skills, which must include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. General working knowledge of Internet for business use.
- Conditions of Employment: Individual must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening and reference verification. Also, individual must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by the date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based jobs, if not currently employed by Caris Life Sciences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Training and development experience in a biotech or healthcare related field preferred.
