Service Technician

Carlton Scale is looking for a driven and motivated Service Technician to join our Salisbury, MD team! Experience in the scale industry is ideal, but we will train the right candidate. Essential Job Duties:

• Installation, inspection, calibration, repair and maintenance of industrial weighing and measuring equipment per Company 17025 quality standards.
• Majority of work is performed at customer sites and requires employee to have a clean driving record.
• Prepares calibration certification reports per quality measurement standards for all services performed for customer.
• Verify and complete detailed information for each work order completed including description of work performed, hours worked, inventory parts used, customer equipment model/serial # , and other pertinent information and submit for billing.
• Build customer relationships and promote business growth by recognizing new business opportunities such as new equipment replacement and new service agreements.
• Must be a team player, self-motivated, take ownership of continuous learning opportunities.
• Currently have or obtain within 6 months a Class B CDL
• Pass pre-employment criminal background check, drug screen and pre-employment post offer fit for duty physical
• Must have basic computer knowledge
• Must be willing to work overtime and be on a rotating on-call service and travel to other company branch locations for on job training or job assistance based on customer demands occasionally.

• Electronics formalized training or equivalent military experience is a plus

Physical Demands:

• Able to frequently lift heavy objects, 50 lb. test weights and other equipment, up to 100lbs.
• Pushes/Pulls ten 50 lb. test weights on cart.
• Lifts 50 lb test weights from floor to waist, waist to shoulder and shoulder to overhead as job assignment dictates.
• Repetitive lifting of 50 lb test weights from vehicle to weight cart and weight cart to customer equipment.
• May include lifting heavy objects while climbing, bending, stooping, reaching, etc.
• May be required to wear respirator on required jobs.

Company Provides:

• Competitive Salary $18 to $21 per hour starting pay (dependent upon experience), plus overtime, double time (Sundays/Holidays), commissions and other incentive programs.
