Carmel Partners, a well-capitalized private real estate firm with expertise in the investment, development, and construction of multi-family real estate, is seeking a Junior Analyst, Fund Management with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

You will support the Fund Management Department in its various reporting, analysis, and information request responsibilities. In this entry-level position, you will have ample opportunity to learn and grow within the finance function and real estate industry. You will assist with essential tasks such as report and presentation preparation, accurate file maintenance, data entry, and investment valuations.

What you’ll do

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly investment reports and associated supporting files
  • Assist in the preparation of the quarterly investment valuations
  • Prepare capital call and distribution recommendation files
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of the quarterly capital account statements
  • Update and maintain investor management system and investor portal
  • Complete ad hoc and quarterly investor requests
  • Submit information quarterly to investor consultant databases
  • Assist in the preparation of investor presentations for annual investor meeting and call
  • Other duties, responsibilities and special projects as assigned

About You

You’re a self-starter with excellent detail-orientation and time management skills. You’ve proven your excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills, and you can effectively prioritize your work, even under pressure. You consider your strong interpersonal skills a key part of your success, as you’re great at building effective working relationships. With your passionate interest in learning and growing within the finance function and real estate industry, and your ability to apply the skills you already have, you provide invaluable support to your team. You’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 0 to 1 year of professional experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and good experience with Excel
  • Passion for learning and commitment to continuous improvement

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience modeling within Excel
  • Real estate experience
