What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cloud Architect position at Carnegie Hall?
As the Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure for Carnegie Hall. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure that our cloud-based systems are reliable, scalable, and secure. You should have a strong understanding of cloud technologies, including cloud computing, storage, networking, security, as well as experience with automation and scripting tools. The ideal candidate should be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to technical architecture, implementation and operational management of Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms
Design, build, test and support the migration of workloads to Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure and other cloud platforms
Monitor and maintain cloud-based systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability
Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues, including network connectivity, server and storage performance, and application availability
Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement disaster recovery, business continuity, incident response plans
Develop and maintain technical documentation and drawings for cloud infrastructure and procedures
Provide level 2 and 3 backup support for the Carnegie Hall helpdesk
Serve as the backup to the Network and Server Architect role which is a separate role that is part of the same team
Work with the Associate Director of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure to remediate technical security issues related to Carnegie Hall’s cybersecurity audits, scans and compliance efforts
Keep up to date with emerging cloud technologies and trends, and provide recommendations for improvements and enhancements to existing systems
Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
3 years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field
Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
Experience with designing and administering Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure and other cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform
Experience migrating workloads to Microsoft Azure
Experience designing, provisioning, and supporting Azure PaaS and IaaS components (Azure Compute, Networks, Storage, PaaS Services, AI & ML services)
Strong knowledge of Azure Container Apps
Experience with network design and implementation in cloud environments
Familiarity with IAM, SSO and SAML authentication platforms such as Okta, Ping Identity, One Identity, ADFS, or Azure as an IdP
Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards in cloud environments
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment
Experience with VMware, Windows Server administration, Active Directory and MS SQL are a plus'
Microsoft Azure Associate Certification strongly preferred
Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
