Position Description
The Video Assistant position will support the Video department in a variety of ways including (but not limited to) filming all Panthers practices and games, managing the video database, and providing video-related support to all coaches and staff. This role will report to the Video Director.
Primary Responsibilities
- Film all practices and games for the coaching staff, players, and front office personnel.
- Manage the video database of every NFL and college football game.
- Ensure all meeting rooms are in working order, and that each coach has the technology needed for an optimal teaching environment.
- Ensure every coaching staff member and every front office employee is supported with all video-related requests.
- Create cut-ups for coaching staff.
- Film NFL required ‘Secondary End Zone’ view during games
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
- At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience
- Experience filming practices and games, as well as, editing and logging the footage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be organized, proactive and self-motivated.
- Discretion and trustworthiness related to confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and in a group.
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and prioritize multiple projects.
- A professional approach in all interactions with fellow Panthers staff members, players, and coaches.
- Punctuality, accountability, and keen attention to detail in each duty.
- Must be flexible to work evenings and/or weekends and all Carolina Panthers and Stadium events, including events held on weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Must pass pre-employment screens.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of the time throughout the day.
- Ability to focus on projects for periods of time.
- Operates in a professional office environment.
- Lift at least 30 pounds
Work Environment
This job operates mostly in an office environment and outside in a stadium facility at times which may include inclement weather conditions.
