Job Summary: A passionate leader who will show integrity and initiative to meet the Mission, Vision and Values of CaroMont Health. Will oversee the daily operations of assigned physician practice(s) under the supervision of the Practice Manager/ Practice Administrator/ Sr. Practice AdministratorProvides direct supervision to all employees in the practice(s). Will be responsible for a minimum of 1 location. Maintains patient confidentiality. Schedules and obtains authorizations for referrals and/or procedures. Maintains provider scheduling, assist patients at check-in, accurate data entry of all demographics, obtains copies of insurance cards, collects co-pays, private balances, obtains authorizations numbers from insurance companies, assists patients with account inquiries, transaction entry with on-going supervision. Will hold a Medical Assistant or LPN license and be expected to work within the credentialed scope of practice. Provides leadership in absence of Practice Manager/ Practice Administrator/ Sr. Practice Administrator.
Qualifications: High school diploma required; college education preferred. Three years of health care experience required; Supervisory experience preferred. Must demonstrate excellent organizational and communications skills. Excellent computer skills including an understanding of MS Office Suite, internet, and email; excellent customer service skills; knowledge of medical terminology is required; medical insurance knowledge required; advanced account inquiry skills; initiative/problem solving skills are required; must be able to manage and foster a team environment. EMR and Practice Management system knowledge preferred. Has one-year clinical experience as a Medical Assistant and current certificate/registration, or has less than one-year experience with an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting with current certification/registration. BLS required. Current credentialing (certification/registration). Must maintain credentialing with American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA-CMA) or American Medical Technologists (AMT-RMA). If employed prior to 3-1-2013 and credentialed with National Center for Competency Training (NCCT-NCMA) or National Healthcare Association (NHA-CCMA), the organization will recognize those credentials and require they be maintained or current LPN license to practice in NC (NC license or multi-state compact license)
