Job Description
Oversee the tile installation in newly constructed residential homes and townhomes. Manage Carpet Diem installation operations to ensure the safety of people, the quality of the products and installation services we provide, and productivity of our installation teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Oversee tile installers.
● Ensure team members and sub-contractors are performing their duties and responsibilities regarding the safe handling of materials, floor preparation, installation of materials and site clean-up.
● Teach, train, coach and mentor team members on quality standards for floor preparation, proper installation methods and problem solving.
● Monitor jobs to ensure we are adhering to proper standards and procedures for floor installation.
● The Hive (Quickbase) – Ensure our teams are trained and utilizing our workflow software (The Hive) for scheduling, tracking jobs and materials, communicating with team members, and following work order maps.
● Installer Orientation & Training – Provide in-house and on-the-job orientations and ongoing installation training for installation teams.
● Ensure proper equipment and tools are being used by installers to perform their duties.
● Ensure installers ability to work safely and to follow OSHA standards for construction site safety.
● Ensure team members are following established company policies and procedures.
● General Problem Solving – Work to resolve escalated installation issues in a timely manner. Perform root cause analysis to identify and fix issues that create installation problems.
● Interact with Supers, Suppliers or other allies as needed.
● Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement in installation processes through collaborative efforts with team members and allied partners.
● Attend and conduct training and other business meetings as required.
● Conduct Monthly Installer Meetings.
● Conduct Semiannual job performance reviews.
● Recruiting and hiring direct reports.
● Conduct disciplinary actions and terminations as needed.
Skills and Requirements
· Minimum 5 years of installation experience.
· Ability to work and train on how to install flooring safely and efficiently in a construction environment.
· Good driving record. Safely operate a motor vehicle. Insurable by Carpet Diem auto insurance policy.
· Ability to lead and motivate installation associates.
· Good communication skills.
· Responsible and dependable.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Salary and Benefits
● Salary: Starting at $80,000 but will vary based on experience.
