CAF77: CCS - CIB 13995 Pasteur Blvd , Palm Beach Gardens, FL, 33418 USAJob Responsibilities: Global Ethics and Compliance Officer (ECO) for Carrier in responsible for assisting the VP, Compliance in ensuring a strong ethics and compliance culture throughout the global organization in close coordination with WHQ leaders and key business unit leaders. Specifically, perform the following ongoing tasks: Implement and monitor effective oversight and training of the global ethics and compliance officer (ECO) network; Assist VP, Compliance with periodic reporting requirements – quarterly management rep letter presentations; mid-year compliance reviews; monthly executive, significant and SOX reportable reports Assist VP, Compliance with engaging and monitoring various third party vendors that provide various systems and tools for the compliance department – i.e. online training (LRN); C360 case database (SIA Global); anonymous reporting hotline (Navex) Data gathering and coordination with business unit ECOs on various periodic reports such as significant case reports and semi-annual compliance reviews; Robust coordination of training and employee recognition tracking; Serve as an interpretive resource to management and other employees regarding ethics and compliance issues, specifically including interpretation of the Code of Ethics and compliance policies; Coordinate and oversee distribution of the Code of Ethics and the implementation of adequate training/educational programs; Support compliance monitoring activities including audits and self-evaluations through close coordination with other functional disciplines; Coordinate the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program and support effective implementation and tracking of all mitigation activities resulting therefrom; Compile and assess data regarding program activities, including information related to training as well as allegations and investigations; Share information with management and the functional disciplines (as appropriate), regarding trends and risk areas associated with compliance and ethics; The ability to work independently, prioritize issues and ensure the successful completion of short and long-term projects to the satisfaction of clients is essential. Being an effective communicator is a requirement as this role will interact with senior management as well as other ECOs. Location: Carrier World Headquarters, Palm Beach Garden, Florida USA Education/experience requirements: Bachelor’s degree At least five years of experience working in a corporate legal department and/or compliance role Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills supported by strong verbal and written communication skills Project manager who brings matters to completion Detail oriented Global perspective with the interest and proven ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-functional environment, develop and maintain internal partnerships, and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization with credibility, integrity, and respect High energy, self-starter and strong team player that is comfortable working independently but within a large corporation Proficiency in office skills required: typing, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)United Technologies Corporation is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
